Choose the workflow before the integration
MXToolbox's Email Header Analyzer accepts pasted headers. MXToolbox also offers an API product; check its documented endpoints and plan before assuming a specific web-tool operation is available through the API. A blanket claim that MXToolbox has no API would be incorrect.

Inspect evidence before automating a decision
The email report includes header, content, link, domain and attachment-type checks. Attachment-type findings are not proof of malware or a substitute for deeper file analysis. A completed job is not the same as a clean message, and a failed-check count is not a phishing probability.
Your integration should handle unsuccessful jobs, missing evidence and uncertain findings explicitly. Escalate consequential requests for review rather than using an authentication pass as automatic permission to trust a message.
